DWLG Aluminium door engineer was call out to a Flat in the Walthamstow E17 area today to carry out an Aluminium french Door repair.

Upon arrival, our engineers discovered a number of issues with the french door. The bottom hinge was broken and would need to be replaced. This issue we were aware of as the landlord had already sent us some pictures, so we were able to come prepared with the correct part.

Unfortunately, there were also other issues with the door that we found. The top shoot bot mechanism was missing and we would need to leave the premises to go and collect one from our supplier. The aluminium door was also bent where the handle was fitted. This was causing issues. The rubber gasket that should have been around the exterior of the double glazed glass unit was also missing.

This door was unusual in the fact that the hinge mechanisms used was a tilt and turn window style system. With an additional hinge added to prevent the use of the tilt and turn system. This is something that we have not seen before.
