DWLG’s expert team of Bifold door repair engineers promptly responded to an emergency call to a house in the Cheam SM3 area today. They carried out an Emergency Aluminium Bi-Folding Door repair to a 5 leaf Sun Paradise Bi-Fold Door set. The customer informed us that the doors would not close properly due to a broken hinge on the top of the door set.

Upon inspection, Joe discovered that the 5 set of bifold doors was misaligned and the top hinge had broken due to wear and tear over time. The bifold doors had never been serviced or realigned and this caused the doors to drop. This in turn produced excess stress on the hinge and it snapped. The doors needed to be Realigned and a replacement top hinge fitted to the doors to solve the problem.

The following work was carried out to repair the bifold doors..

All 5 double glazed toughened glass units were removed from the doors, the broken Sun Paradise top bifold door hinge was removed and the new replacement fitted, hinges were adjusted, doors were serviced, maintained, cleaned and lubricated. Joe replaced worn fixings . The glass was then “toe and heeled”.
