DWLG Bifold door engineers attended a house in the Tooting SW17 area today to carry out an Aluminium Bi-Folding Door repair to a 3 leaf Bi-Fold Door set. The customer informed us that the doors were very stiff to open and dragging along the bottom.
Upon inspection, it was discovered that the 3 leaf bi-folding door set was misaligned and small gaps were visible in multiple areas around the doors. There were also some missing fixings from the hinges in the door. The doors would need to be “toe and heeled”, Realigned and fixings added to the hinges so they fully support the doors.
Our expert engineers at DWLG carried out the following repairs to resolve the bifold door issues.
All 3 double glazed glass units were removed from the doors, the aluminum bi-fold doors were serviced, maintained, cleaned and lubricated. We replaced multiple fixings that were missing. DWLG used fixings knows as lock off screws which secure the bi-fold doors safely into place. We then “toe and heeled” the glass correctly into the doors.
